“Colin Firth’s well-turned-out secret agent is both homage and mickey-take of Bond in Matthew Vaughn’s second adaptation of deliriously irreverent Mark Millar material” Daily Telegraph

Director of super-successful schlock (Bad Ass, Layer Cake, etc.) Matthew Vaughn has come up with a stylish, subversive and, above all, fun crowd-pleaser: ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’. It tells the story of a super-secret privately funded spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius, culminating in an hilariously violent Armageddon.

Proving that Colin Firth is a versatile actor with a sense of humour and an ability to be a convincing all–action hero, with support from Michael Caine, Mark Strong and Samuel Jackson this, film is surprisingly violent and sexy…which should please most of Rockbourne film night regulars…but the squeamish beware! It is fast moving, exciting and loads of fun for a long winter’s night.

Next film possibles list: Spectre, Steve Jobs, Suffragette, Bridge of Spies, Carol
